Harambee - Chicago - 2024

Harambee is Swahili for "all pull together."

In Kenya, communities harambee regularly, pooling their limited resources to support neighbors in times of need.

The Humanity Share works hand in hand with East African communities to break cycles of poverty and build sustainable, equitable futures. Harambee Chicago is The Humanity Share’s largest fundraising event, uniting global partners to fund programs that address the systemic issues of chronic poverty.

Join us for an uplifting evening as we celebrate our 12th annual Harambee event!

We’ll share stories of hope and highlight the positive impacts being made in our partner communities.

This year, Harambee coincides with the International Day of the Girl Child. We’ll explore the unique challenges that girls in Kenya face today, celebrate inspiring stories of girls transforming their communities, and learn how we can join forces to build a more equitable future for all.
