Praying for Unity

There are so many opportunities for division. Perhaps in these days more than many of us have ever experienced. Looking at the current landscape of a global pandemic and hearing voices call for justice and change, we as the Church must be so careful to remain united in Christ.

It reminds me of what Paul instructed believers in Ephesus ... "so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes. Rather, speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love" (Ephesians 4:14-16).

Let's all take time to pray this week. Let's pray for each other and for our world. In particular let's pray that we would speak with love ... that we would seek the truth ... that we would grow up together in Christ ... and that we would remain anchored in faith and action through God's Word.
