Common People, Uncommon Message
As followers of Jesus, there’s nothing particularly special about us. At least, not any more special than the next person. We’re common people. And yet, by God’s grace, we’ve been entrusted with some really good news that’s anything but commonplace.
We’re common people with an uncommon message.
As our team considered a new design, we reflected on this tension. We wanted to capture the beauty of our everyday, messy lives as well as the transformational grace that makes us family.
Something about a pigeon captured our imaginations. A bird scattered through our neighborhood, often ignored or disruptive, yet specially made by our Creator and historically used to carry important news.
And I know what you might be thinking, “a pigeon, really?”
Really.
What we came to love from the design process was building a brand identity with multiple visual elements to tell our church story. While the pigeon will appear in certain applications, we’re encouraged by the flexibility of the branding system as shown above.
We’re excited to continue on this journey together as a church of common people carrying an uncommon message.
